Custom Die Cutting
Thrust Industries provides custom die cutting services to efficiently produce parts that meet your exact specifications. Our experienced team is available to assist you through every stage of your project, including design suggestions that may enhance the fabrication process or streamline the assembly process at your facility.
- Custom die cutting that optimizes efficiency and minimizes waste
- Common tolerances for steel rule die are +/- .010″
- Matched metal or class A dies offer a tolerance of half that amount or +/- .005″
- Developed to meet specific project needs
- Prompt turn-around and delivery
Once your prototype is approved, custom die cutting orders are typically shipped within 10 working days.
Laminating Before Custom Die Cutting
Laminating is the process of applying an additional layer to materials before or after the die-cutting process. Typically, Thrust Industries uses the laminating process to apply an adhesive to a substrate material, such as plastic film, rubber, or foam before die, laser, or waterjet cutting the component from that material. An adhesive, PSA or tape, can be added to one side or both sides of a material, with secondary liners where needed.
Our laminated materials are often used in industries like packaging, electronics, automotive, and signage, where precision, durability, and aesthetic appeal are important. The combination of laminating and die-cutting allows for the creation of high-quality, customized components that look great, meet industry standards, and perform reliably in any environment.
